Summer Knitting Projects

For me… summer knitting projects have to be easy and small.  There is nothing worse than trying to knit up a bulky sweater in 90+ degree heat!  It is best to plan ahead and I have the perfect pattern for mittens.  These can be made up in about 2 evenings worth of time and ready for winter gift giving well in advance!

The plus to these is that they require about 4 oz. of yarn which all knitters have on hand due to left overs from other projects!  Also, since I am inherently lazy and hate dealing with Double Pointed Needles (DPNs) and knitting in the round I try to simplfy things: two needle mittens.  This pattern was my grandmother’s so I don’t think I am spoiling any copyright laws here.
