Tomato Success Kit
few years ago I bought Mom a Tomato Success Kit for Mother’s Day. The kit comes with the self watering tub, soil, fertilizer and red mulch plastic. The basic cage is also included and important to support the ripening tomato branches. I have used it for a few years now but recently decided to change the location since the squirrels got more tomatoes than we did. I just ordered replacement soil and the cart to keep the tub off of the wood deck. A recent run to the garden center scored one patio tomato and one roma tomato plant.
The cart brings the tub to an easy care level as well as allowing me to move it as needed. The tub is quite heavy once filled with soil and water. So far I have found it to be a great accessory to the kit. Somehow, when the tomatoes are planted… summer is coming!
